2024 Math Kangaroo Competition
Trace Elementary will be hosting the Math Kangaroo competition on March 21, 2024. Math Kangaroo is an international competition that encourages students in logic and mathematics through interesting problems in a 75-minute test format. You can check out some example questions.
Trace PTO will be covering the registration fee for any Trace student that wishes to participate! There may be a lottery if demand exceeds capacity.
Trace Math Club
The PTO is also planning to start a “Math Club” at Trace to practice for the Math Kangaroo competition. The club will run once a week from January 2024 to March 2024. Any child in grade 1-5 that loves problem solving and math is welcome to join, regardless of whether they participate in the Math Kangaroo competition; however, priority is given to the competition participants.
