You can join friendly cycling families riding to Trace every week. The Eastern Bike Train rides to Trace every school day and the Western Bike Train has a number of riders but needs a new leader. Bike trains provide a safe route, high visibility, and kids love biking together. As a bonus, you get to know more Trace families along the way to school.

Eastern Bike Train

On any school day, you can bike to Trace with a group of other families coming from the neighborhoods east of Park Ave and Race St. You can join this train at Cleaves Ave and San Fernando St, as it crosses Race, turns from Yosemite Ave onto Tillman Ave, or at the staffed crosswalk at Park Ave and Calaveras Ave. See approximate times on the map below.

Organize Your Own Bike Train or Walking Bus

Getting your own kid-powered group started is as easy as talking to a neighbor or friend with a child who attends Trace. If you’d like to share your route with the community or have us let you know when new routes are created in your neighborhood, contact our committee via [email protected].
