Project Cornerstone is made up of two types of school-wide programs called ABC Readers and Los Dichos.
ABC Readers is an English-speaking parent volunteer program that trains parent volunteers monthly to go into Trace classrooms and present a selection of books to provide lessons, discussions, and activities that teach character-building skills (integrity, tolerance, respect, honesty, empathy, etc.) and how to recognize and deal with bullying behavior.
Los Dichos is a Spanish-speaking parent program that trains parent volunteers monthly to go into Trace classrooms and present a selection of books to lead activities and discussions about topics including tolerance, family pride, peaceful conflict resolution and other important values.
How do I learn more information or to volunteer for either program?
For more information or to volunteer, please look for the Project Cornerstone table at the Summer events, ask the Trace parent volunteer liaison located in B10, and/or ask your child’s teacher for more details!
